Opera

Judith Gauthier attended the Rossini-in-Wildbad Festival in Germany last summer

where she performed as Lisetta in Rossini's La Gazzetta.

Naxos recording will soon be available.

 

She has just been performing the role of Oberto in Haendel's Alcina

under the direction of Jean-Christophe Spinosi

at the Opéra de Paris and then in Vienna and Aix-en-Provence.

 

Next summer, she will be Fiorilla in Rossini's Il Turco in Italia

at the Opera Festival of Basel/Riehen in Switzerland.

 

She will come back to the Théâtre du Châtelet

in the role of Drolla and as Lora's stand-in in Wagner's Die Feen

then in the leading role of Astrée in Gérard Pesson's Pastorale.

 

At the Opéra de Paris in 2009

she will sing the roles of Clarine and Amour in Rameau's Platée,

Marc Minkowski directing.

 

Concerts

 

This summer Judith Gauthier sang the Messe Sainte Prève by Michel Decoust

which has been created in the Prieuré de Pommier-en-Forez.

 

She performed last September in the Fénétrange and Ambronay festivals

with the Parlement de Musique de Strasbourg

in the Mass for Chorus and Orchestra by Denoyé and Psaume Laudate by Corrette.

Ambronay's concert was broadcasted on France-Musique (Radio France station)

and recorded by Harmonia Mundi:

 

Judith Gauthier sang last january in Paris

the oratorio Le quatrième Mage by the contemporary composer Pierre Wissmer,

 

On February 10th salle Pleyel à Paris, she delighted the audience with the Concert spirituel

in the Mass in B minor by Bach conducted by Hervé Niquet.

 

She performed in Haendel's Messiah conducted by Ariel Alonso on May 23-24 in Paris and Limours.

 

On July 7th, she will be in Galicia with the Parlement de Musique de Strasbourg

in a "baroque jubilation" concert:

Te Deum by Marc-Antoine Charpentier

and Magnificat by Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach.
